Kitchen

___  Remove household products, such as cleaning products, dishwashing compounds and drain cleaners, from under the sink.

___  No medicines on counters or in open areas.

___  All household products and medications out of reach and out of sight.

___  Child safety latches on all drawers or cabinets containing harmful products or sharp objects.

___  No toxic products stored with food or in food containers.

 

Bathroom

___  All medications, cosmetics, hair care products, toothpaste, mouthwash and cleaners out of reach.

___  Medicine storage area cleaned out regularly.  Call 1-800-222-1222 for recommendations on how to dispose of medicine properly.

___  All medications in original, child-resistant containers.

 

Bedroom

___  No medicines in or on dresser or bedside table.

___  All cologne, aftershave, cosmetics, and powders out of reach.

 

Laundry Area

___  All bleaches, soaps, detergents, fabric softeners, bluing agents and sprays out of reach.

___  All products in their original container.

 

Garage/Basement

___  Insect sprays and lawn care products in locked area.

___  Gasoline and car care products in secured area or locked trunk.

___  Paint, paint cleaners and other home care products in locked area.

___  All products in their original containers.

 

General Household

___  Storage area for medication and other products is a locked cabinet located up high.

___  Plants identified and out of reach.

___  Alcoholic beverages out of reach.

___  Ashtrays empty and out of reach.

___  Paint in good condition - no chipping or peeling.

___  No mouse baits in areas where children play.
