For any poison, here’s the antidote

A new poison help hotline was created by Congress to create immediate access to the nation’s 57 local poison centers through one national number, 1-800-222-1222. In January 2002, the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) officially launched this national number along with a new national logo “Poison Help”

This hotline number works anywhere in the United States (including Alaska & Hawaii) and directly connects you to the poison control center taking care of the area from which you are calling.
Developed collaboratively between the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this 1-800 number puts poison treatment and prevention help at your fingertips. This hotline is already helping tens of thousands of Americans take advantage of the free and confidential services of their local poison centers. The hotline is also saving health care dollars. Every dollar spent on a poison control center saves nearly seven dollars in otherwise unnecessary medical care.
